We had dinner here, and had to wait a bit for the table but we were fine with that. We saw that people who came after us were seated before us though. Once we finally got seated, no one brought us any menus, so that was inconvenient. We had to grab them ourselves from the front. We had the baked filet and baked salmon, the filet was better than the salmon. The green plantain and trifongo were pretty good.
This is the number one spot to go to. Hopped off the carnival cruise and the walk is 15 min. Take the walk the food is amazing. I had the grilled chicken and the rice with beans. Baybayyyyy everything was seasoned like abuela in the back cooking. You see the before and after. Worth the money. Don’t be discouraged about the wait. Good things come to those that wait.
Food was great! We were a table of 8 and they sat us pretty quickly. We all enjoyed our food! Skip the mango mojito there’s better out there. The server was not the greatest. Too busy on his phone, eating and chatting with other workers. Did not come back to ask for drink refills or how our food was. We pulled him away from his friend to get our check. He was friendly though. Came recommended by our Uber driver Monica.
During our recent visit to this restaurant, we were greeted by a waiting list. The duration of the wait can vary. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with authentic decor. However, parking is limited. The service was exceptional, and the cuisine was extraordinary. Our meal consisted of fried chops, arroz con gandules, garlic shrimp, fried plantains, white rice with beans, and cube steak with onions.
A friend from Puerto Rico recommended this place, he gave some great advice. He said it reminded him of home cooking. I had to get the Red Snapper at his suggestion. It looked so good I grabbed a bite before thinking about a photo, it was delicious. The spices really made it sensational and it was very moist.
This was my first experience with Puerto Rican food and this was really good. I had the red snapper with mofongo and it was so good! Everything was awesome! Great service. No wait time. Loved it! Will be back!!
